The definition of cruxifixition:

[n] the infliction of extremely painful punishment or suffering

This is what we go through with our hard times in life, a daily cruxifixition. Lately I have been feeling as if no one has or ever will truly love me the same way that I love them and that I need to be a better person and a better mother. Today in testimony meeting it came to me just how loveable and special and important we women are in this world. I say important because I have also been feeling as if no one seems to think that I’m as important to them in thier life as they are important to me in my life. This morning as my daughter was showing me all her mosquito bites and telling me how much they hurt and itched and she was crying it came to me just how much like Christ we woman really are. We hug and kiss the tears away when our children are sad and hurt, we comfort them in thier time of trouble as Christ comforts us in ours. We reach out a hand to help them as Christ does with us. When our children are sick or just weak and tired they come to us for rest and refuge which we freely give out of love as Christ does with us. We’re always there when needed as Christ is for us. We give answers to thier questions as Christ gives answers to ours. We lead by example as he does by attending our church meetings and attending to our church callings no matter what they may be. being temple worthy and attending to the temple as much as possible. So mothers look at your children, this is Christ’s love for us epotomized. He gave us children and the challenges and trials in all that come with raising them to make us like him.

Isiah 51:3 “For the Lord shall comfort Zion: he will comfort all her waste places; and he will make her wilderness like Eden, and her desert like the garden of the Lord; joy and gladness shall be found therin, thanksgiving, and the voice of melody.”

66:13 “As one whom his mother comforteth, so will I comfort you; and you will be comforted in Jerusalem.”

Why do our children reach out to us? The answer is for comfort they know they can find joy again from thier sadness in thier mother. We are these comforters women. Our children give thanks for the comfort as we do with Christ when he comforts us. The desert is again like the Garden of the Lord for it is no longer barren but filled with children which we bear. to speak out with joy and happiness with tidings of Christ which we teach. We are the soothing soft voice in time of need, the voices of melody.

So anytime you are having a hard time just remember how much Christ loves you, how important we women are to him and anytime you feel like you can do better just remember you are already who he wants you to be; Just like Christ.

Mother: There Is No Greater Call.
